Some seasons of life are easy and others are hard, but let’s talk about the seasons between easy and hard. The seasons of pure exhaustion, grieving, pain, or tired of running around. The world judges those who do not push hard at work sacrificing family for the almighty dollar and mental health breakdowns.
God does not place judgement on you when you are exhausted from carrying the load for everyone else. Holy genuinely speaks about self-care and resting in Him as told in 1 Kings 19 regarding Elijah. He had been battling with Queen Jezebel for God over the worship of Baal. He became fearful, discouraged, suicidal, and depressed, but God did not ream him out in judgement. God directed Elijah to his mountain for rest, sustenance, and quiet time with Holy.
These are not just words on a page in the bible. The same goes for us today. The Spirit of Jezebel still exists to ruin our lives, steal, kill, destroy, and churches must beware that it does not lead to worshipping the entity, the pastor, the music show, the community over God. Idolatry is a huge destroyer. As well, the Spirit of Jezebel will pit religious leaders against each other. God always wins, however. God must be first in our lives and churches in order to shield against the Jezebel Spirit, and other religious entities. What/Who are you authentically worshipping?
We now have the Holy Spirit of God living inside of us as believers. That is where our mountain of God resides. If you are in an Elijah season of life, pray, repent, change back to God and let Holy lead you to rest in Him.
(Jesus said) Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
