We all have sinned. Satan steps in to keep us there. Some still dabble in sin in secret because the enemy tells them if no one knows, no one gets hurt. That is a lie. Truth always wins. The battle is real.
Yet God demonstrates His unconditional love for us when we call out “Holy Spirit come”, I’m running back, or help me get out of this perpetual life of sin. God is waiting for the prodigals to come home with open arms. Pray.
What does sin mean to you? Anything that breaks our Heavenly Father’s heart? If your heart is broken by addiction, pride, selfish behaviors, distractions, secrecy, porn, child endangerment, lies, lack of self respect, self harm, lack of care for family…. The list of sins could go on forever and Satan is waiting for each of us to give up and give in.
The enemy only cares about you until he can wrap you up in barb wire into something your heart desires that is not good, just, truthful, and morally right. Then he could care less what happens to you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Remember, when your heart is broken, so is the heart of Jesus, who gave His life for the sins of the world. For You. He is your relationship to do life with and comes to you when you call even in the throes of sin, and especially, when you are in trying to get out of or not go back to sinful living. Holy Spirit come!
