Life rarely makes sense. Putting your trust in anything or anyone other than God is fruitless for this world is fallible. The only way to guard against doing that is to unequivocally choose to trust in the life process set into motion by God just for you. Holy Spirit will guide you. Ask for it.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge God, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
