Our faith grows strong in the roots of God’s Word, becoming warriors in Prayer, emulating Jesus’ life on earth and His Saving Sacrifice. You can do all of these but still have shallow roots of faith if your heart posture is not God-centered.
You can be sure the enemy tests your weaknesses so that you are too distracted, too busy, or too exhausted to seek Jesus within. Because if we become like leaves blowing in the wind our roots of faith will suffer.
Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. 2 Corinthians 13:5 (MSG)
Test your heart posture many times throughout each day. What are your true motives for everything you do and say? Are you feeding your roots of faith or merely hanging on like a leaf in strong winds of chaos?
