We do not always understand what God is doing in life. When our faith is weak the distance from Holy in the waiting is depressing, seems like forever, and we slowly become angry in a disgruntled mindset. It takes us forever to turn that around when we lack discernment, complete trust, and genuine faith in God. Some don’t ever and are choosing to stay in the wallow of their darkness. God wants different for us for our own health and well being. Faith, Hope, and Trust gets us there.
Such is the lesson of Holy Week. Jesus was hailed as king one day, turned tables and walked out of town the next, was betrayed by close friends, prayed for strength, and was killed by the people who loved Him earlier in the week. Yet, Jesus ultimately stayed the course with the mission no matter the trials of His life. He endured a horrible Death while Satan laughed. BUT GOD WAS NOT DONE!
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good,” Romans 12:21
Patience in the waiting on something good to come from devastation is not about the trials themselves. It is about staying close to God amid those trials of life on earth so that you do not sin in your perceived defeat until Holy timing is there. Jesus won. God won. You can win, too. Holy will help you. Study Jesus’ life and understand how He managed every trial, even defeating death.
