A lamp is useless, dry, dark, fake when empty. We are to be the lamps of God. The oil is the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit within. Our lamp of light needs replenishment daily.
An empty lamp only serves to present like a believer but does not live a life to serve a greater purpose nor produce the fruit of the spirit. Do not be fooled by the pretense. Observe and discern the real truth.
How is your lamp? Replenish it with oil often so you never go dark? Look closely. Do not fall for lies of Satan in a world that promotes appearances over a life that lives out faith. You are free to choose your heart posture and authenticity. Both have consequences. One for good, the other a pervasive darkness.
Without the oil of Jesus saturating our soul, temptations to look the part becomes the focus. Replenishing the oil of Jesus daily sustains true faith and the will of God becomes the focus.
