The innocence of trust is emulated by a lone deer grazing at dusk right by my house. It is wide open land. There were no others to help confront predators for there is a kind of safety in numbers.
However, when we depend on those numbers of surrounding support too much it becomes our go to instead of God. Takers rely heavily on the fixers and when the fixers become tired, weary from never letting their guard down, older, leave the takers must step out in faith and independence. Hopefully, the art of learning to navigate life with God takes shape. Many become or stay lost in a world of chaos.
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. Jeremiah 17:7
The deer trusted the safety offered by the nearness of our home. God wants that kind of trust with each of us. It’s never too late to put make the decision to put God first in our lives and trust Holy wholeheartedly. Today, step out in faith and build trust and relationship with Jesus.
