Distractions were heavy this morning. Batman, my dog, barked incessantly at the feral cats, people were talking, lawn mowers running, and I suddenly felt overwhelmed as I tried to seek time with God in the early hours. I closed my eyes and asked Jesus for help blocking out all of the distractions just so I could simply hear Holy.
I prayed for a golden hedge of protection to surround me to eliminate satan’s purposeful distracting pursuits. In my spirit I heard Psalm 91 and a reminder that I had a vision of angels surrounding many months ago very similar to the photo of the painting God used in this blog today. (Artist Unknown)
God sends angels to us all the time, unawares. Today Holy sent throngs of angels against distractions.
At that moment I felt peace in my soul and like I was wrapped in a golden cocoon. I suddenly felt rest in my soul. The distractions sounded far away now and my mind calmed to focus on Holy. Now, keep in mind that I fail at this distraction onslaught every day, but Today, satan did not win. Thank you Jesus.
Relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit within is important in our every day life. That relationship is a life line against evil. Learn to use it. It’s never too late to start honing it, put it into practice, and learn the mysteries of Holy to deepen your faith. Read Psalm 91
