Patience in Life

Some days all the stars are aligned in the universe and kindness, patience, waiting to speak, and showing genuine love comes easy. But stars swirl, the earth rotates, and alignment with God’s Word in our day to day life becomes impossible when we are determined to do everything on our own. The key is Holy Spirit within.

When we are determined to live life with God everyday we become so familiar with the nudging, guidance, wisdom, warning, and patience Holy Spirit speaks to us, we are shaped to do life differently than the world. Sometimes we have to wait. Everything God does is orderly, planned, and in His timing.

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1

Yes, sometimes we wait, and in our patient waiting the wisdom we have already learned kicks in while we still pray, read the Word, converse with Holy, and listen to hear His voice and see signs from Him. No, God does not abandon us when we do not hear Holy nor feel all that close to Holy Spirit. We wait until our own anger, hurt, frustration, or emotions evaporate enough we can hear the Holy Spirit within. Do not give up. It is a learned discipline. It takes time and effort. Be patient with yourself and ask Jesus for help.

I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8
