Dying He Saved Me

Even as He hung on the cross with the criminals redemption was offered.

“Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34

“And when Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His Spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.” Matthew 27:50, 51

In His death our sins are forgiven and we are made new.  The veil was torn so that the disease of addiction, murder, anger, pride, cruelty, violence, darkness,  or oppression would be overcome by all who believe in the Redeeming and Healing Power of the message of the cross.

Love won then. Love still wins today! We all experience some form of disappointment, cruelty, violence, abuse, addiction, or unfairness at some point in our lives. The agony of the cross we’ve beared has been felt by the Holy One. By looking forward to the Rising Power that defeated death, we, too, can Rise above the temptations and sins of this world to embrace the Unconditional Love of Jesus. He freely gave His life so that we would have freedom from the gates of hell. Who can possibly decline such a heartfelt offer? Embrace the Holy One today.
