Mingling Branches

Like branches on a tree, humans come in many shapes, sizes, colors, heights, weights, ages, and personalities. No two are alike, yet we are all part of one universe. If branches on a tree only cared about themselves, fought for position, argued over which branch is more important, and pushed all others out of the way reaching for the sun there would be so much chaos and upheaval their very life source, the tree, would collapse. For the tree to survive the raging winds, hard rains, freezing winters, and scorching heat the branches must mingle, holding each other up, while remaining firmly secured to their foundation, the tree. WITHOUT maintaining the balance that each branch provides the foundation of the tree becomes weak and breaks away from the sustaining root system.

The Creator is the sustaining roots of our tree. We branches, the people, must not be foolish enough to continue fighting among ourselves and focusing solely on self allowing our connecting base and foundation to falter. For we will not survive it. Just as the branches are cast away, we the people and the world as we know it will change and go away. Let’s learn to mingle together again In Jesus Name by nurturing our faith, nourishing our spirits, transforming or renewing our minds, and growing deep roots towards the Creator for the good of all. Are you a flourishing branch or a withering branch?

Those who trust in riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” Proverbs 11:28

“If anyone does not abide in Me, he/she is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned.” John 15:6
