The crowd was huge. Everyone from far and wide had come to hear Him, see Him. As He made His way through the dense throng of people, she realized this was her only chance for He was moving beyond her reach. She had lost all hope of ever being healed, ever being whole, forever shunned by her people. The God Man who healed, loved unconditionally, helped people like her was here. It was now or never. She came up behind Him and touched the edge of His garment and IMMEDIATELY her bleeding stopped.

| She was Healed immediately. Upon realizing Jesus had felt her touch she had 2 choices: Run Away or Own Up to Her Faith | Felt Power & Energy Leave His Spirit; Paid attention Stopped everything for 1 person; Every time; Focused on 1 person at a time | Worried event wouldn’t be on time especially due to a touch from a Person; Still focused on the masses |
| Fear of punishment, stoning, death gave pause to her answer. She could’ve blended quietly into the crowd, sneak away, lie | Calmly stopped and looked around knowing someone in the crowd demonstrated great faith asked the crowd who it was | Exasperated that Jesus wouldn’t hurry, Peter tried to explain away Jesus’ feelings by saying the people were just closing in around them |
| She chose Truth and Stepped Forward in Faith, trembling, to Jesus and fell at His feet; she expected the worse. | Punishment never entered Jesus’ mind. In His compassion he sensed a teaching moment about faith and miracles and He seized it | I imagine Peter, eyes rolling, is beside himself at this point because he is focused on the wrong thing |
| In the presence of the crowd she told why she had touched the hem of His garment and that she was instantly healed = Rescued from a lifetime of ridicule’s which turns into her Testimony | Jesus then said,” Daughter your Faith has healed you. Go In Peace.” This was the mission of Jesus not gaining popularity of the crowds. He maintained His Focus | Hopefully, Peter has finally realized he’s been focusing on the wrong thing all along and almost missed another teaching moment = Change or Re-Focus on what’s Important in Life |
