This is why it is so important to spend time alone with God. Jesus made a daily habit of going to the Father in Heaven in prayer before sun up or whenever He could get away from the crowds. In the silence, He poured His heart out, asked for strength, help, guidance, even for release from the burden of the world if there was another way. There wasn’t. Jesus followed through even though He was surrounded by more and more doubters as time drew near. He gathered His patient perseverance from the Father and not other people.
In the silence, we can begin to feel Holy presence, sense the power, and hear the whispers of God. That is His promise to you.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for God who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
