What Do You Really Need?

Anger, anxiety, fear, apathy and similar emotions alert us to areas in our lives that we need to address. The longer we ignore, justify, perpetuate, or even go to as a coping mechanism the harder it is to change. The way we are created, when we embrace the Holy Spirit within, enables us to hear our body speak of what it needs and serves to warn us that it’s time to face the facts. We are even warned against these emotions in the Word as being harmful to our basic needs.

“A hot temper stirs up dissension, but patience calms a quarrel.” Proverbs 15:18

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul ” Psalm 94:19

If you find yourself repeating the same negative responses, pause. Reframe your response to a positive one. No argument is worth you forfeiting peace. No labor is worth forfeiting health. No fears are worth forfeiting a happy life. Choose cheerful joy. It makes the heart grow stronger. Whatever is going on in your life God is already working on it. Be at Peace. Rest in His Word. Live your Faith. You are Loved.
