Fall is my favorite time of year. It’s not about the pumpkin spice, the cooler weather, nor the reving up of another football season. It’s all about the changes.
Animals begin storing up food and preparing their lairs for colder weather. Trees burst forth in beautiful colors of gold, red, and orange then easily let go of these gorgeous leaves to proudly stand bare against the harsh winter winds. The air we breathe is not so stifling from the heat of summer now becoming crisp and fresh giving a cleansing feeling.
Welcome the Changes as a time for introspection and rest for your soul. Prepare for something different by letting go of oppressive emotions, lingering hurt, past mistakes. Throw away any grievances and grudges. Give control a rest and seek trusting in Holy instead.
It’s a new season of your life. Embrace the changes. Ask Divine about your new direction.
For everything there is a season… a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain… Ecclesiastes 3:22
