Take A Day

Sometimes, we all need to take a day and do nothing. How rare is it that doing nothing is even possible? If we are ever able to carve out the time it seems we fidget, overthink about all that needs to be done, and before we know it, that small window of “doing nothing” is gone. Along with that, we miss opportunities to just sit and be still with Holy Wonder.

Today is a good day to make time to do nothing and just be with God. In your patient waiting, the Holy Spirit will speak. Will you take time to listen?

Now, as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. A woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her. Luke 10:38-42
