Live in the Present

Living in the present moment places all of your trust in God’s plans for your future. No matter how much you prepare, the future rarely looks like we envision it. This is mainly because planning is usually comprised of earthly gains; finances, a secured home place, career goals, maintaining a job beyond retirement age, self-sustaining offspring, etc. The problem is that these nice and tight plans are never a picture-perfect package for surrounding all of your preparing are things you don’t ever plan on. Pandemics, layoffs, accidents, natural disasters, and more can change everyone’s futures in the blink of an eye.

Do you trust God enough to just roll with it and wait on Divine while listening to the Holy Spirit for guidance?

Furthermore, if you are continually preparing for your future, you miss opportunities and blessings in the present. What are you focused on today?

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
