Hungry For Love

“The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.” Mother Teresa

Saint Mother Teresa would know this by the life she led. I wonder how many times she fed starving people, but saw no real hope in the eyes of some. Homelessness, poverty, loss, loneliness, addictions, starvation all can leave one in survival mode fighting to just get through the day, but those who have known love show it in their compassion for each other even in their dire state of living. Yet, many who are blessed beyond measure with close family, lots of friends, a cozy home, healthy meals, and a good job still search to fill the void within where the foundation of love was not laid. The thirst for possessions, expensive perfumes, or second homes do not make them happy or charitable. Rich or Poor, without Love we have a needing Spirit that only unconditional Love can sate. Today, no matter your age, place in life, wealth, or brokenness, you can begin filling the void of lost love within by feeding your Spirit God’s Truth in His Word, finding the good in all situations, and embracing the unconditional Love of Christ, “For God so Loved the world He gave His only begotten Son…” John 3:16 . With Holy Spirit within we are never alone!

L – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind” Luke 10:27, and love others as kindly as you want to be loved.

O – “…O God, renew a right Spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10; Ask Him to Clean away the debris and the unecessary then make Him your priority.

V – “Verily, verily I say to you, all who believe in God will have everlasting life.” John 6:47; Jesus paid the price of your sin.

E – “Even a child is known by his or her doings, whether their work is pure of heart and whether it is right. Proverbs 20:11; Do what is right; not what is easy.
