“But ask the beasts, and the will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; of the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you, and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:7-10 (ESV)
The universal communication of God is not limited to human languages. Don’t limit your deep understanding of our Divine Creator to just words, whether read, spoken, sung, or heard. From the thankful peeps of a rescued baby bird to the wind rustling through the forest leaves there is a certain whisper of a lesson waiting to be taught if only we stop long enough to listen. Even our very cells vibrate with a frequency of life that gives that “gut” feel that something is healing, sick, or needs attention. But, we have to pay attention or we miss it. Those of us with animals have felt when our horses or dogs say “I Love You”. It’s no different with our relationship with God. Slowing down from our busy(ness) and becoming aware that all of life has something to teach us in many ways allows God opportunities for the sacred hum within to come to life. Slow down and listen for the whisper of the universe. Take time to Reflect on What and How God is communicating with you today?
