Who Do You Go To?

This baby bird was alone and floundering around on my deck, could barely fly, and was panting and dim in the eyes from exhaustion. It was terrified. It finally made it to the window sill where my budgie hangs out. It peeped and my budgie answered back. After awhile I realized it wasn’t hurt and didn’t need anything from me, this precious life just needed a place to rest and recover. It stayed there for most of the afternoon, sheltered from the sun, sleeping then watching. My budgie went over and kept it company from the other side of the window. Later in the day, the wide eyed and refreshed baby Sparrow strongly flew away into the wide open world. I smiled and thanked the One who rescues, restores, and always has our backs.

I marvel at how Divine orchestrates the rescue of all His creatures, even us humans, in such curious ways. Even when we don’t know we need rescuing, provision of the one we go to is readily available. Remember that!

“The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually Rescue you.” Daniel 6

…and He did! Who do you go to on a daily basis? This world saves no one, only takes. Remember the One you go to either Rescues you or Devours you. Think about it.
