What Really Matters?

9 “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.
10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.
11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ —” Philippians 1

At the end of the day, we can sleep well if we feel we’ve been productive and accomplished purpose in life, have helped someone, and loved genuinely while feeling loved. The building of this significance is the same at the end of our lives. It is what really matters!

All of the things, buildings, wealth, fast cars, and conveniences, expensive or not, of this world fall apart, break, go out of style, and cannot give you love in return. After awhile they don’t really matter anymore. If you’ve based your whole reason for living on objects, beauty procedures, bigger is better, and cultural belief systems your Spirit becomes bored and yawns with discontent, Over and Over. It’s past time to examine the road your life is traveling and where you’re headed. If it is sorely lacking in purpose driven love with Christ as the leader, it’s time to turn down Salvation Lane towards a life that will matter when all is said and done.

It’s never too late to make a change in direction in your life. Invite a friend on your trip to change. That’s what really matters!
