Two Choices

“For we do not have a high priest (Jesus) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we all are – yet was without sin.” Hebrews 5:15 (NIV)

For every temptation that crosses our path every day there is a reaction from us: give in to ease our hardship of the moment, or walk away to seek a better choice. It’s up to each of us how we react to life, death, difficult times, trauma, hardships, pain, drugs, food, other people. We Always React with that which is in our hearts: compassion or uncaring, respect or anger, love or hate, rescue or violence, honor or disrespect… Jesus was tempted for 40 days and nights by Satan. He was taunted, laughed at, threatened, and terrorized. He did not give in and sought out the Father’s help and advice every step of the way. He personally knows our personal struggles with the tempting demon taunting us everyday. If we do not do anything to tame the demon it will rise up daily and torture us into a state of hatred so evil it destroys not only our very own self, but everything around us that’s in the way, including family, children, friends, jobs, homes.. Seek Jesus’ council when tempted and let Him guide you through it. He lives inside you. All you have to do is ask.

How’s your Reaction today? It’s your choice how you react: Good, Right, Healthy, Loving OR Wrong, Selfish, Destructive, Hateful. Seek advice from the One whose been there.
