Turkey hens are fascinating and encouraging. When the flock moves on a lone hen will stay with her babies feeding, teaching, guarding, and will even take in other babies of hens who may have met their demise. These hens are fierce protectors but no nonsense when it comes to babies not keeping up or going too far away. God is very much like this with us.
Life is always a challenge especially when we feel we are alone in our struggles.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
God is our turkey hen. We are never alone even if we slip up and give in to that emotion in life.
