Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, and the animals had each other. God was in their midst, angels sang, shepherds came, and the wise brought gifts. Lots of togetherness and celebration was going on.
Jesus, the man had close friends in His disciples, cousin Lazarus, and the ones He stayed with along the dusty roads. God was in their midst from one gathering to the next.
We are meant for togetherness but not over stimulated distractions. When togetherness becomes too overwhelming step away to refresh. God will be in your midst. Seek Him.
Jesus always took time away from the crowds to pray in solitude. God was always with Jesus just like He is with us today. Holy Spirit speaks often through many different ways.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. Matthew 18:20
May your Christ-mas celebrations, gatherings, singing, and gifting bring meaningful togetherness with the help of the Holy Spirit. Remember you are never alone. God’s Holy Spirit lives in your spirit and He is calling out to you right now. Holy is your togetherness.
