The gift of Rest restores our well being allowing for moments of clearer pictures amid the times at hand. In the silence of our Spirit, God’s plans form into a well honed weapon in our hearts. Rest provides a Renewed sense of purpose.
The enemy would rather us spend our lives overworked, over stimulated, over doing, even over volunteering, and crash into oblivion from exhaustion. That way there is no time and energy to analyze truth, make solid decisions, see what’s truly going on in our families, treat others with respect, and map out any kind of well thought out plans. If the enemy can keep you in the mindset of a zombie like existence of go-go-go, not enough time in the day, too much to do to sit awhile, you will never slow down enough to see what’s going on around you, and, frankly, you will be too tired to care. That is exactly where the enemy wants each and every one of us. That way we’re too weary and distracted in our Spirit to fight against all the devastation, cruelty, sadistic behaviors, and wrong in the world.
R-E-S-T comes in many forms.; Seek the rest that resonates in your Spirit. When you Rest in the Divine you find Peace. Make it a priority for your own Spiritual well being. This Refreshment could very well give you the answer you’ve been looking for all along.
