The semblance of self reliance is great while the blessings are flowing and the waters of life are calm. But when the blessings dry up and we don’t know which way to turn, we realize our thought that reliance upon self is not really truth. Life flows even in the dry season when we solely rely on God. The Divine blesser Himself comes through time after time, and Holy is always reliable.
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He/She is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 7
