The silent walk to the creek yielded four surprise feathers strewn along the path. Unlike many others I’ve found, these were torn with rough edges and imperfections yet, felt like blessings none the less. In the quiet of the trees a Holy reminder came as I held them in my hand as if they were diamonds; perfection is not necessary for blessings to be found. Even tattered and worn, these feathers still showed their brilliant colors and made me smile. What a beautiful blessing.
Life is filled with imperfect circumstances, imperfect people, and imperfect relationships, but rest in the blessing that no matter what is going on in our lives Holy will gather us up and hide us in the shelter of Divine protection. He sends angel armies to us always. You might just be someone’s, protection, saving grace, and angel blessing today. Stay alert. Don’t miss your opportunity to shine the light.
Remember that when we are weary and grief stricken, tattered and feeling rough, or tired and unsure we can still reach out to others, for perfection is not necessary to be a blessing. It’s the little things.
