Still Standing

In the midst of whatever goes on in our lives, the good, bad, indifferent, trauma, anger, health woes, wayward children, divorce, job loss, happiness, joy….. if we are deeply rooted in our relationship with Jesus, we will stand and not wither. It is a commitment to what is right in truth. Stand firm by way of the Word, Prayer, Conversation, Worship, and Trust.

Shallow roots topple trees in the hard winds. Jesus roots hold on tight.

Are you standing with Jesus? It is never too late to start. The ways of the world have proven unworthy and unpredictable. Don’t fall for it.

In order to navigate this fickle life on earth, we must grow long, strong roots of faith, joy, truth, and be the face of Christ in whatever comes our way. Stand strong for your faith with Jesus in your home, career, hobbies, with friends, family, strangers, and the unloveable.

Be a tree, tall, still standing, and bearing fruit.

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He or She is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
