Standard of Grace

The standard of grace recognizes that we are not perfect. We should not expect it of ourselves nor others. However, our intentions in adhering to God’s Word in daily life are perfected in grace.

Grace is not earned through works, attending church, or talking like a Jesus follower. Rather, it is gifted to us with no strings attached. Yet, the standard to live by is clear. The one who knows every intention of every heart, every decision, and every mistake graces us with provisions to get things right according to the perfection of Jesus.

Grace, so freely given, comes with the expectation that, just as it is extended to us, we are to extend grace to others.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone. It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age. Titus 2:11-12

In this present age, how is the intention of your heart?
