Have you noticed how angry the world is these days? Even apologies for ridiculous behavior are, many times, done with a smirk exuding a sense of bluster and blaming that has no substance. When patterns, habits, hurtful words, and actions of demeaning proportions continue on and on the meaning of apology is lost.
Society has lost its sincerity. It seems to have become all about control, power, money, and manipulation of truths thereby feeding the entitled me syndrome. Yet, as individuals there is a power that lies within each of us that beckons us to be sincere in all we do and say. Maybe it is time to reach deep within and find that again.
Sincerity requires obedience to the Truth. Are you being truthful with yourself? Are you being authentically sincere?
For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and Godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God… 2 Corinthians 1:12
