Simply Joy

A simple smile can make your day great along with those who come across your path. When we notice the simpliest of joys in life our hearts overflow with gratitude and smiles cross our face. Sharing that smile with others gives them the joy you have found. A simple scowl can ruin your day as well as those around you. No one wants to be around a sour faced complainer. When we only see our problems, conflicts, unfairness we not only drag ourselves down, but others, too. A simple smile is simply choosing to be joyful.

Smiling increases mood-enhancing hormones while decreasing stress-enhancing hormones, including cortisol, and adrenaline. It also reduces overall blood pressure. And because you typically smile when you’re happy, the muscles used trigger your brain to produce more endorphins—the chemical that relieves pain and stress.

Who will you choose to be today? A smiler or a scowler?
