The Season of Fall is upon us. Time for carving pumpkins, spicy lattes, and bonfires. As the leaves change colors and begin to flutter around the chill in the air is crisp and clean giving a much needed respite from the oppressive summer heat. It’s a most welcoming change. And just like this season will change to winter and so on, if we pause and reflect we will notice we too shift seasons as a person. Our opinions change as we grow up and learn a thing or two. We grow in faith, love, confidence and within that change we realize we interact differently with the world. As we allow, no, welcome the Holy Spirit to take front and center in our lives instead of being shoved to the back of our minds like an unimportant voice, we move out from the oppressive and into the shedding of the old leaves that no longer serve our lives in a positive way. We see clearer. We hear clearer. We change from within.
I am always energized by the autumn season with it’s vibrant colors and scents of apples. In a time when changes haven’t been so positive this year being energized does not really come to mind. But perhaps we should embrace this change of season with a new perspective. Time to let go of old habits, stale patterns, and unhealthy thoughts and let them flutter away with the wind. Breathe in a new crisp and clear path and shift into your change embracing the Divine’s plans, for God never waivers from who He says He is, nor from His promises, and never takes His eyes off of us. Seek Holy and Take Action.
