Promises, Promises! At some point in our lives, we have muttered those words under our breath usually because someone let us down. Human tendency is to allow self, greed, power, circumstances, or excuses render promises as just words to appease, IF God is not at the forefront of all choices, actions, words, thoughts, and decisions in life.
Mary believed the promise of the birth of the Messiah, and it changed everything. The captives did make it to the promised land. Faithful Job was restored, and Jonah finally found his way to fulfill the promise to the people of Ninevah. Paul led the jailer and his family to be saved, furthering Jesus’ promise that all people are to be included. Deborah stepped up for God when no one else would, fulfilling His promise to the people. The list could go on and on with promise after promise fulfilled by different people, different circumstances, different times, and different backgrounds.
When God promises something, you can rest assured it will come to fruition. It will be in His Timing, His Way, with whom He determines will be involved, and we must be steadfast, patient, and wait on Holy alignments. The Word proves that God’s promises can be counted on in life. His promises are still as real today as in the Old Testament days. That’s a promise you can hold on to even when everyone else in your life may not keep theirs.
Do you believe it? God still uses His people to fulfill promises! Open your heart to be available to Holy today.
