How do you react to pressure? Are you calm and orderly amid disordered reactions, selfishness, and revelations of untruths? Do you consult with God amid your hurt feelings, fears, and unwanted reactions?
To remain poised in all unbalanced situations is a gift of grace freely given when we put God at the forefront of it all. Otherwise, we allow feelings to fuel responses, and outcomes look nothing like poise.
God remains poised, patient, orderly, and points out truths in every situation we deal with, good and bad. To remain poised with God is impossible without Holy wisdom, ordered thinking, and effective execution. Ask for help!
Jesus exemplifies poise under pressure, torture, and death. He turned a negative situation into something beautiful in the resurrection. He remained dignified and focused on His mission. It is all about timing. God knows exactly what He is doing.
Honest weights and scales are the Lord’s. All of the weights in the bag are His work. It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness. For a throne is established by righteousness. Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him, who speaks what is right. Proverbs 16:11-15
The ability to remain poised in this life is God’s gift if you seek it. Feelings have nothing to do with it. You are created to be poised for Divine and not self.
