Our lives will always confuse, excite, be mysterious, give grief, as well as lend happiness. It is never just one way or the other. The way we make life successful is not a career, money, through other people, possessions, or busyness. It is the ability to find Holy Peace in the midst of all of those things while staying focused on God.
It takes effort, listening, seeking truth in God’s Words, prayerfully engaging in conversation with Jesus, and spending time in the community of believers for support even if it’s just meeting for coffee. Sometimes, on really hard days, I sing along to praise songs or just sit in silence in nature watching and listening for God. He always comes through for me. That I can count on every day, every situation, every opportunity.
Jesus wants us to be at peace on earth in the middle of the battles. It is only when we are internally at peace that we can function not freeze, make calm thought out decisions, and see the blessings of the day. Peace be in you. Peace be with you.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
