Anyone who rides horses knows that unexpected things can happen. It can be a glorious sunset trail ride, dressage test, jump round, barrel race run….. Or, it can be a snake crawling up the leg of your horse while walking through the woods on a summer day, which happened to me years ago. You can imagine the hoopla! I stayed on but have never had an unstoppable horse run through trees that fast ever again. I’m still riding. Many do not understand why. Passion. There is something spiritual about sharing hearts and life with animals, especially horses.
What is your passion? Are you just as passionate about God? Jesus risked everything to live passionately for God and willingly sacrificed His life for you and me. Few understood it. Did the snakes rise up against Him? They killed Him. BUT, our Father in Heaven raised Him up again to live eternally in Heaven.
Live your dream, your passion. Don’t exclude God by living only for that worldly passion. Snakes show up either way. But by including God passionately in all areas of your life, you will rise up again to live in eternal glory.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Mark 12:30
