One Day at a Time

Focusing on the problems of tomorrow and the future take energy, time, effort, healing, and peace away from successfully winning today. Anxiety builds and exhaustion sets in when we allow ourselves to live in a constant state of the “what if’s” of the future. We aren’t promised tomorrow. So, instead of focusing on days ahead choose to see and take care of this day. Each day. Every day.

Worry, fretting, over analyzing and hyper- focusing on tomorrow drains you of the energy you need for today’s decisions, work, learning lessons, and peace. When we can convince ourselves to take one day at a time we allow for opportunities to see the world, each other, problems, and concerns in a calmer more definitive light. Today, lift away the burden of tomorrow and live solely focused on whatever today gives you. Seek joy, laugh a lot, pray all day, spend time with Holy, everyday, and the strength you need will come at the time it’s needed each day.

“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
