All you have to do is ask a recovering addict, a poverty stricken person whose family has been oppressed and poor for generations, one who has experienced hateful bullying and trauma, and even the single mom trying to raise two kids alone juggling work, school, food, healthcare, for they all know the chains and bonds that are so hard to disentangle. No kidding, this is not a game. It’s real life in the struggle and not a video fantasy game you play for the day. The reality is the spiritual war going on around all of us is far bigger than we know or see. If the enemy can just keep you hooked on drugs, poor and disenchanted, fearful and in a perpetual state of anxiety, then no further effort is needed on satan’s part to keep you bound up in those chains. Your shame and guilty conscience does that for him. But, know this, God’s angel armies are fighting for your freedom all day and all night against the enemy to free you from whatever bondage you are experiencing.
