No Fear of Anything

There are days that hearing someone say they prayed for you becomes the catalyst that dispels fear. Those simple words can innately encourage you and make others you pray for to lean in and look for the word from God and comfort of Jesus.

More importantly, when you pray for others instead of always for your own wants and needs it deepens your closeness with God. It rearranges your thoughts, mindset, and opens your spirit up to the signs and miracles only Jesus can do. Prayer pulls you away from satan’s grasp of fear. God is in control not the enemy, the situation, or your circumstances. Have no fear.

Jesus always went away in solitude to the mountain of God to pray. He consulted with God about timing of miracles. He gave time to the Father to better understand any given situation and to replenish His soul. Trust God’s process.

When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles,1 they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened. But he said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going. John 6:16-21

Never forget the enemy uses fear to keep us focused on something other than God. Relinquish that power play to God today and get into God’s boat.

The scripture lesson has less to do with the miracle of Jesus walking on water and more to do with the disciples knowing Him so well that His words to them dispelled the fear immediately. Keep watch.
