Love is Friendship

Charlie Mackesy

True friendship is constant even when we disagree, especially when we need to talk or sit in silence, and always in those times we need a shoulder to cry upon, lean on, and even to celebrate good things in life. If friends are hard to find it’s probably because the disagreements without respect for each other’s beliefs got in the way too often. Perhaps it was just a superficial, fake friendship anyway. Some friends are in our lives for a season while others last a lifetime. Either way we can learn volumes if we are willing to ponder, seek, sense, accept our differences and even change.

“Some friends play at friendship, but a true friend sticks closer than one’s nearest kin.” Proverbs 18:24

Friends can sustain or they can drag you down. Friendships can be the truest form of Love. What kind of friends do you have? Sometimes I think my horses and other animals have been my truest friends at certain times in my life. And, at other times I marvel at my friends for a lifetime. What a Friend I Have in Jesus.

“No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13
