Does your life seem like a test? Whether you are bored or going 100 miles an hour in all directions, the feeling is the same; tired, overthinking, tense. Much like the same feelings that lurk around when we have an upcoming test, we want it to be over so we can move on. Move on to what? Same old patterns or something new, exciting, and wise?
The point is, is that life on earth is not ever going to be paradise because of the dynamics in continuous play between good and evil. The moving on never seems to be what we think it is because there is always another test in life that comes along. It is usually at the most inopportune time and/ or when we least expect it. Because that is life and life is one test after another.
Faith either grows, deepens, and becomes a way of daily living. Or faith is allowed to stagnate and wither away in the why me and what now. The tests of life are where you make the choice to either stand for what you believe in in faith and wisely battle your way through in Jesus’ name. Or, you lay down your sword waxing and waning with indecision, allowing your faith to wither away little by little.
Any wisely fought battle disables the testing, which leads to peace amid the war with no lasting harmful effects. It is purposeful, methodical, and calmly steadfast. The time is now to fight for your faith.
For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. James 1:3
