Laid to Rest

Today is somber Saturday in the sense that we remember Jesus in that cold, dark tomb. Many had given up hope when He died on the cross, thinking He was nothing special, even though He spoke of the resurrection often to prepare the people. Their focus was either on the wrong thing or they weren’t listening at all. Their hope was based on a royal king who would bear arms to save them. All the while, Jesus kept explaining about the resurrection. The peoples hope was shallow and fear overtook them.

Let us remember that death had to happen for our sins must die in order for us to be born anew; changed into a new spirit resurrected.

Living He taught us how to love. Dying He saved my soul to Heaven. Death could not hold Him. He loves us that much. Don’t lose hope. Your sins are laid to rest.
