Each day, we have certain responsibilities, tasks, and duties to fulfill. We must ask ourselves if we go about those daily routines with the teachings of Jesus at the forefront.
In essence, we are the jars of clay molded in the image of God. Don’t let your jar of life on earth become so full that there is no room for holiness. Make it a point to remove the mundane, the anger, and the distractions. Replace them with the beautiful mysteries of God that create love, rest, kindness, hope, and healing. Balance is the key.
We can not control the evil in this world, but we can control how we respond. It begins with how we live each day. Amid life’s cruel intentions, disappointments, and uncertainties allow God to make beauty out of those ashes with the oil of joy. You will find a thankful heart wrapped in God’s arms no matter what life on earth is dishing out each day.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed… 2 Corinthians 4:7-9
Fill your jar of life with Jesus, for without Him, our jar will shatter. You are treasured with the Holy power within to succeed in this life. Live like you believe He is in control in Thanksgiving.
