Heart work is important for the health of your faith. It takes effort to maintain a pure heart in the midst of temptations, failures, struggles, and injustice.
The inconsistencies and confusion of the enemy have a way of justifying revenge, self-righteousness, or prideful attitudes. These are not Jesus’ way and are our first clues that we are dealing with wrong heart postures.
When we maintain a close relationship with Jesus, we can begin to recognize the importance of heart work. It is a part of the guarding. We do the work with Holy, not on our own.
God’s Word never takes the position that leads to our destruction. We do that all on our own after multitudes of warnings since the beginning of humankind. It happens because we humans think we know better how to take care of ourselves, but we do not see the bigger picture like Holy does. Holy Love language is to guard, and it begins in our hearts.
Pray diligently, read the Word daily, seek Holy Spirit guidance, and do the heart work. Ask Jesus.
