There must have been a certain amount of despair in the minds of the young couple upon finding out there was no place in the city for them to stay. The gathering for the census had filled the inn. Even the family homes were already full. Yet, Mary and Joseph prepared the best they could with what they were given and had faith that God would not abandon them. How easy it would have been to be bitter and angry, but what joy they would have missed focusing on the disappointing dark moments.
A seed of faith can generate enough light in your heart to get you through tough times. Keep seeking, looking forward, and grasp the tiny light in the dark. God will not abandon you.
“For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 AMP
