Jesus knew who would betray him yet He washed his feet and shared a meal with him anyway. Jesus knew His time of death was near and praised the woman who anointed Him with the alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. While the disciples admonished her for wasting an expensive product, Jesus spoke of her preparation for His burial. Even when Jesus’ close friend and disciple, Peter, declared he would never forsake Him, Jesus told him he actually would deny knowing Him three times before the rooster crowed after his death. These examples could have provided Jesus with distraction throwing Him off course of His mission and purpose. However, they didn’t because He was fully committed to fulfilling His mission. That is the ultimate example of one who has great faith.
The next time chaos, distractions, disruptions, and unexpected circumstances throw you a curve ball in life remember the master who lived out faith everyday. Great faith is hard work, but is worth the determination for it settles around you like a blanket of comfort when you need it most. Great faith will carry you through. Trust the process.
