Let us focus on good things. There’s plenty going in this world that is unsavory, sad, hurtful, and even detrimental to our health. It can be overwhelming at times. Where do you find the balance between good and bad?
While the bad seems to be prevalent on all sides of life, reflecting on the goodness of God serves to override the bad one instance at a time. For me, the last snippet of a sunset on the long drive home brings a relaxing smile reminding me of the extraordinary beauty of Holy creation. It begs for introspection. It reflects the nature of God all powerful. There is comfort and awe in that.
Where do you look for the goodness of God on your long drives home?
God is plentiful in His goodness. We must seek it, stay diligently on alert for it, and learn to sense the smallest of nuances that say to your soul, “God is good.”
If we continually hold on to the struggle, the hardship, and the difficulties that assault on a daily basis, we will miss God’s goodness. His goodness is passed on to us through animals, other people, angels unawares, fallen feathers, sunsets, and those things that He already knows speak to your heart.
Today, cling to the goodness of God instead of the rest of this world. Make it a daily habit to look for Holy Goodness amid the dry and starving places in every thicket of disarray life throws at you.
God longs for you to be joyful, happy, and want good things to happen amongst the mundane. Holy Goodness never fails you.
