God Speaks

I love how God starts conversations with us through nature, animals, forests, and even other people. Sometimes, it’s a nuance of sound from a bird or a line from a song. Other times, it’s the big bold mountain grandeur that takes our breath away or the breeze rustling through forest that creates goosebumps and a smile.

It is a beautiful thing. Don’t get so caught up in the craziness of life that you miss it, for it is your reset. It serves as a reminder to refocus on the ways of Jesus.

God speaks to us many times throughout each day and night in our lives no matter where we are. Holy spoke to Moses through a burning bush in Exodus 3. He spoke to Daniel through dreams, visions, and used David’s gift of music to speak to others. God sent an angel to speak to Mary about Jesus. Jesus conversed with His Heavenly Father every day.

Be captivated by God’s Word and voice through His creation, angels unawares, music, and even at the sight of goslings in heavy traffic. Do not be held captive by the world’s fake, shallow, selfish lies of busyness.

In the silence of our introspection, God speaks. Are you watching and listening for it? The conversation begins as you thank God for the moment.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27
