This is the meaning of God is Love. Holy knows all about the darkness within yet forgives and loves deeply. It is the kind of love that is felt in the stillness of pain. A thankful sigh escapes on the trail of our breath. I am forgiven. I am deeply loved by God. That is always enough.
To trade this kind of love for hate, bitterness, frustration, anger, and judgemental righteousness is to not know who God really is within you.
Your true test of God’s love will be when you must forgive those who are not sorry, accept those who you do not like, and love those who do not know God’s deep love, yet. Human love won’t allow it. But, God’s love is a supernatural kind of love. It is multifaceted. It is clothed in mystery yet surrounds your soul with knowing and understanding. Look for it. Holy will meet you in the darkness and lead you to the light of dawning truths with love. It is an unexplainable experience.
Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love. 1 John 4:8
