Residing deep within each of us are generations of Holy memories. It is called memory knowledge. We choose whether to allow this awakening and remember, or to ignore and suppress them.
Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord… Psalm 102:18
To allow the spark of a God given memory to take shape in our hearts and minds is to fully embrace the Holiness within. In turn, our lives begin to change for the better, and while it is not easier, we are inspired to seek purpose, deeper meaning, and are awakened to something bigger than ourselves. We have engaged our souls to encounter the mysterious.
To ignore the glimpses of whatever sets off the spark of ancient memories is to remain in a stagnant existence. It is never too late to open up and remember. Awakening is gentle at first; even slow. The more you seek the more you remember.
Awakening begins with knowing the Word for yourself. Just randomly open your Bible, ask Holy Spirit to join you, and begin reading. Make notes, draw pictures, close your eyes and think about how what you are reading speaks directly to You in your life today. Don’t give up. As you do this daily you will begin to notice correlations. Little by little you will make the connections from then to now. Oneday, when you least expect it, you will have a lightbulb moment and your soul will sing. Your Awakening will feel beautiful and transforming.
For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14
